-
VideoBuilder has a network of preferred videographers, who are pre-
qualified and available across the country. We give videographers a
list of standard specifications to assure that all videos are of the
highest quality. The videographer will be well informed regarding
your video requirements. This is accomplished through the amount
of pre-production planning that takes place prior to your appointment
with the videographer. - I need my video taped out of country. Can you help?

different parts of the country. What should I do?

depending on what is shot at each location. Please call our office at

to use your library of
images and clips, in addition to that which I will provide. Is this
possible? - A production can include either or both original and

original shots. A discount will be given if no videographer is hired.

video process. Using VideoBuilder’s online system, the production process has
been streamlined, allowing you to spend less time managing the
project, plus saving money as well. We also have catalogs of stock

replication, packaging and distribution services are outsourced to a
preferred partner. - How do I review the video?

approve it as given to you. One revision of the video is included in
your order. Each additional revision costs $ 75.00.
| | Building Your Script Narrative- What do I write in the Narrative section of the script?
-
This is the Voice Over section of the script. It depicts what a viewer
will hear. You may place the words you wish to speak or those of an
On Camera Talent. - I'm not a broadcast professional writer. Can I still write the script?
-
Yes, we require as much information as possible for each scene in
order to understand your direction and ideas for the video. A
professional broadcast writer will review your script to verify that it
flows smoothly and is easily understood by your viewers. - I want to have multiple people on screen. What do I do?
-
Place this information in the ’Scene Description’ and describe who
will be on camera. If you want a Voice Over Talent, you may select
the type of person you wish to use under ’Assets’. Scene Description- What do I write in the Scene Description section of the script?
-
Provide as much detail as possible regarding everything that will be
shown in the video. An example is the ‘Long Shot Exterior of
Building’. If you select text, graphics, or other elements, this is
where you state what is special about each item, i.e., cropping of an
image, size, placement, color adjustments, or any other detail. All of
this information assists us in creating a video with your vision in
mind. - I've had some experience with writing scripts and know abbreviations. May I use them?
-
Absolutely, we encourage the use of any broadcast standard abbreviation.
Below is a list of the most commonly used abbreviations:
INT. = Interior
EXT. = Exterior LS = Long Shot MS = Medium Shot FS = Full Shot
CU = Close Up OC = On Camera VO = Voice Over OTS = Over the
Shoulder - What type of transitions can I use?
- A
transition moves you from one scene to another. It can be a wipe,
dissolve, or a simple straight cut. You may specify what transition
you wish to use under ’Scene Description’. If nothing is specified,
our editors and producers will use their professional knowledge and
judgment to select an appropriate transition. Scene Notes- What do I write in the "Scene Description" section of the script?
-
Your “scene description” may not always have something in it. Use
“scene description” to give us general comments, such as tone,
over look and any special notes that do not fit in the other
categories. It is also a place for our producers to ask questions and
for you to ask questions of them. The producers will let you know
their thoughts and why they have made certain changes. Assets | | User Images - How do I use images?
-
‘Images’ is the place where you may upload your graphics, i.e., a
company logo, product image, profile shot of a company executive,
etc. - What types of images can I upload?
- We currently accept: Photoshop, EPS, GIF, JPEG, PNG, PICT and TIFF

be. We will inform you if we feel an image is not up to our
standards.
**Technical specifications of images Images used for
on screen products (DVD's, CD's, VHS), can be as
low as 72 DPI unless the images needs to be enlarged or zoomed
in. If you use any of these images on a label, we highly recommend
that they are over 300 DPI. An image must be at least 640 x 480
pixels if it is to be used as full screen. Images given to us in a lower
resolution may appear blurry in your final product. VideoBuilder will
not be responsible for client provided low quality images.

charged the same fee artbeats.com charges.
| | Music - Why do I need music??
-
Music helps to keep your video interesting and draws attention to
your product or service. We recommend that in most cases you
select some type of music. - Can I use different music for each scene?
-
Yes, you may use a different music for each scene. If the same
music is selected, it will continue in an uninterrupted format
throughout the scenes. When a new scene is added it will
automatically default to the music you selected in the previous
scene. - May I use my own music?
- Yes and No. The
music must be Royalty Free or you must own the
license to use it. You may send a CD to us with the music you wish
to use including a document stating that you own the license to that
music. - How do I know what length of a song to use?
-
Most songs in our library have at least two (2) lengths. The short
ones are most useful for introductions or short montages/references.
The long ones are most useful for a music bed behind the talent who
is speaking. We will adjust the length of the song with fades or
looping to match the length of your video. You may also indicate,
being as detailed as possible, where you wish a song should start
and end within a certain time, or if you wish to use a portion of the
song.
| | Animated Backgrounds - What are animated backgrounds?
-
Animated backgrounds are elements that are normally used as a
background in conjunction with photos and text graphics. They are
useful for introductions to the video, titles/chapter breaks, or other
creative uses. - Can I add video over an animated background?
- Yes, you may add video clips that are sized down over a
background. Each video clip will be a different scene. If you wish
VideoBuilder to have the clip doing basic motion (left/right and
up/down movements, zoom in/out), please be very detailed as to
how you would like the video clips to appear on top of the
background. You may also add text graphics next to the video clip
to make an interesting visual composition.
| | Text Graphics - How are text graphics used?

and we will make the adjustment. - I want custom 3D animated text, how can I do that?
-

area. We will gladly help you with this custom add-on by calling our
main office at 866-712-6278

-

on camera. We allow you to select from a standard man VO (Voice
Over) and/or a Standard woman VO. You may select other talents
that fit your specific needs, but this will involve extra costs. - Can I use both a standard Male and Female Voice over?
-

Voice Over in your video. You decide where and when to place their
voices. - I wish to do my own Voice Over or hire my own talent. Is this acceptable?

Over when the videographer is at your location. You may also
submit to us a professionally recorded Voice Over source.
| | Questionnaire - Why should I use the questionnaire?
-
The questionnaire is essential to elicit information from clients who
may not feel comfortable writing the first draft. After you answer the
questions, our scriptwriters will write the first draft of the script for
you, and select graphics/assets that we recommend for your use. At
that point you may start selecting the assets you wish to use and
make modifications/comments to the script. - Is there an additional fee for using the questionnaire?
- Currently, we are not charging any additional fees for using this service. It is part of the introductory package.
